I was chatting with my mom earlier and it made me realize something （・□・；）
She was looking for cute stationery like from when I was a teen and heavily into the random characters I would find at local stationery shops ☆ Some of them being from Japan or Korea, Sanrio and Morning Glory and things like that (°ロ°) ! There were even shops online ♪
But now they're all gone (--;)・・・ The physical shops shut down or the business is gone entirely (>_<)

You can find a lot secondhand but it will definitely cost you （；￣д￣）
It makes me sad that all of that cute stuff is no longer being made (ﾉД) So many people just would go to Amazon and T*mu and stop supporting the companies that started it all (＃￣ω￣)
Do they still exist where you are? How do you find cute character items?

This is totally my pet peeve LOL. I love going into physical stores and finding random cute stuff like that but like you said most people just get stuff online now. Where I am it’s impossible to find stuff like that anyways, I guess. There is one store, but I found out they’re scamming people with fake Sanrio goods, so I kinda avoid it now. When I was in Korea town in NYC tho there were several places with cute Sanrio stuff (maybe also knock off, LOL idk) and stationary! I was so jealous.
I remember as a teen there was a shop online that had its own cute characters and they made super cute jewelry out of it but I forgot it's name.
I am too curious to see if they still exist T.T
Taiwan is probably quite different in that we still have a lot of the kawaii goods of various characters as well as generic cute things at stationery shops. It's been a while since I buy any, as I don't use pens, pencils, or paper much any more!
