✩50 My First Nendoroid!✩

Over the years, I collected a few character models from anime and video games. My Cardcaptor Sakura and Milla from Tales of Xillia are just a couple of which I have on display. But I never had a nendoroid before!

For those that don't know, a Nendoroid, or nendo as they're sometimes called, is a special kind of anime statue that is in the chibi style. It still has interchangeable parts like the different faces, limbs and such. They don't cost as much as the normal statues and they're absolutely adorable.

I have a few friends that love to collect them and one of them linked me to the upcoming preorder of one that we both needed to have. I love Okami. It's an amazing game that I finally got to play thanks to the Nintendo Switch. And since I'm late to the party, I missed out on a lot of merch for it. But the main character Amaterasu was going to be made into a nendo! It was put up for preorder last June.

I had never ordered from Good Smile before so I didn't know what to expect when ordering. But it was supposed to be released December 2020. Some issues happened and I had to contact customer service to make sure my order was still good. Luckily they fixed it and even though it was near the end of December, I finally got my shipment email!

And here she is~

She arrived just last week while I was away from home. But I was just happy to finally have her! It was a long time and I was getting worried I would miss out. But I have to hand it to Good Smile's customer service - they really pulled through!

I actually had to take pics of the box because the carboard itself looks like the scrolls from the game. And the different images of possible poses are just so adorable. You can also see her and her partner - Issun ready to go on their journey!

The version I got was actually the normal one. There is a deluxe one but at the time I couldn't afford it. But I'm really happy and she's super cute.

As a preorder bonus through Good Smile, there was also a small pink orb that was packaged with her as well. In the game, you could collect these little "Praise orbs" that would grant you new attributes. So I thought that was a cute touch!

What do you think of her? Isn't she the cutest? I don't see myself collecting more nendos but I'm glad I got this one. And I will most likely keep her in the box to keep her preserved. Do you collect any figures? Let me know in the comments!
